lyrics

I've been kicking up
The dust now just
To watch the particles swirl

With my legs slung up
On the seat of the swing
Backs against the bark
And if I thought there were
More eyes than mine
Drinking that whole sky in
Then maybe I would
Feel less small
With the weight of the heavens divided

I said
Where do you think
The sea is from here
Probably way down below
Since we're moving
We're moving ever upward
You and me

And I thought
Is this what it's like to be
Hollow and still anchored
To the earth

Never you mind that now
While we're moving ever upward
And my hands are cold
As you pull me up
But I hope you'll hold them always

My brain circulates
All the love you gave
To soak all the parts
That have grown doubtful

And though I can't hold
The here and now
I'll try to brace myself
Against the waves

Where do you think
The sea is from here
Probably way down below
Since we're moving
We're moving ever upward
You and me

Is this what it's like to be
Hollow and still anchored
To the earth
