lyrics

Weep in the soil
So nothing can grow
I'm willing the weather
To trap you inside of the snow

For the trouble spills
Out of your mouth
And take's shape
Underground

You had a party
Invited everybody
But I was asked kindly not to come
You said "only ghosts allowed,
And you and ghosts don't get along"
While your whine aint weak
Your punch is awful strong

You deserve a medal
For letting them meddle
In matters molding making up your mind
You live you love you learn
You lie
Your eye is on the prize
If only trophies held you late at night

The lion's jaws ajar
Your head's in too far
Your limbs are flailing
Frankly, I'm afraid
Your muffled calls aren't heard at all
You're swallowed by your pride
At least you're safe
From finding where to hide

Your tall tales are tattlin'
Your skeleton's a rattlin'
Your heart's b-beating
Wings behind your rib cage
The nest inside your chest
Is only pecking you to death
Piece by piece

Watching the willows
House stories in their bones
Things we're not supposed to know
Like, why the winds a bitter bite
Why lightning makes the woods ignite
Why shadows moving give me frights
While I am wide awake at night
Why moths always flock to light
Why you won't hold me tight
Anymore
